Erth Inventions is the published novel the whole universe grows out of. It follows people who build the thing that's supposed to make life better — and find out it doesn't leave the builder unchanged.
It's the origin text: the characters, the rules, and the questions every later project keeps circling back to. Big ideas treated as human problems, which is the only way I know how to write them.
