I'm Hikaru Jing — a writer and filmmaker from Cavite. I work mostly in literature and science fiction, and I've been telling stories in whatever form would hold them: a published novel, short fiction, screenplays, and a short film I wrote, directed, and produced on my own that found around forty thousand viewers.

The other half of me thinks like a producer. I'm as interested in the unglamorous part — the research, the feasibility, the question of whether a story can actually get made and how — as I am in the writing. That's the whole point of me: I can develop the idea and tell you if it holds up.

I like stories where ordinary people make reasonable choices that quietly add up to something strange — genre that takes its feelings as seriously as its ideas. If a project has a real idea under it, I want in.
